Heja,
I LOVE Pianoteq !
But i want to do a FX based experiment.
I might replace "one Piano" ....with 10+, 20,or 30 Piano instances....so i can send single notes (or groups of) to different FX. Mainly Delays. You get the idea......(on a side note: in total, each piano key has just to be represented once ! )
The host i´m using runs single core only.
So i need that super low CPU Piano which still sounds ok enough.
( like old Synth Workstations, like from Yamaha, Roland, Kurzweil,...i liked the Piano in the EX5 for example. Such thing would do)
RAM usage could become an issue too with so many Instrument instances. My mac has only 16GB of RAM. In case i have to use something sample library based. Which i guess is the case.
(i´m on an apple silicon Mac. It has to be ARM ready)
any ideas ?
i´m not familiar with any sample players / librarys etc.
it might be an idea, ....-or even a neccessity -.... to reprogramm some pianos in a sampler, to unload all unused samples. My energy to do such editing work is limited. But i might do if there is one suited to do that task quickly.
the midi steering will be per key. i can do that in my host.
So, each piano instance will only get to see the midi notes, it effectivly has to play.
